07/10/2010 - Toronto, ON (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Alex Gonzalez clubbed a two-run homer and added an RBI double, as the Toronto Blue Jays defeated Boston, 9-5, in the middle installment of a three-game set at Rogers Centre.
Jose Bautista blasted his MLB-best 24th home run of the season -- a solo shot in the eighth inning -- for the Blue Jays, who had dropped seven home games in a row to the Red Sox.
Kevin Gregg recorded the final out in the eighth and pitched a spotless ninth for his 20th save.
Shawn Camp (3-1) gained the win after striking out three batters in 1 2/3 scoreless innings in relief of starter Brandon Morrow, who gave up five runs -- four earned -- on eight hits over four full frames.
Daniel Nava hit a two-run double for Boston, which snapped a four-game losing streak with a resounding 14-3 triumph in Friday's series opener.
John Lackey (9-5) allowed seven runs on eight hits and walked six in 4 2/3 innings to absorb the loss.
Boston picked up a run in the first inning on a bases-loaded walk to J.D. Drew, but the Blue Jays answered in their first turn at the plate.
Fred Lewis and Gonzalez hit consecutive doubles to start the bottom of the first, and back-to-back walks to Bautista and Vernon Wells loaded the bases with the tying run already in.
Adam Lind followed with a single to center field to score Gonzalez. Another run came home when Aaron Hill reached on a force out. The bases were reloaded on a base hit by Lyle Overbay, but Lackey escaped further damage by getting Edwin Encarnacion to pop out to first base and retiring Jose Molina on a fly ball to center.
Toronto's lead quickly evaporated as Nava and David Ortiz each doubled in a three-run second for the Red Sox. Marco Scutaro singled home another run for the visitors to make it 5-3 in the third.
The Blue Jays, though, tied it in the fourth when Lewis led off with a walk and scored on Gonzalez's 17th home run of the season, a line-drive smash over the left-field wall.
Toronto pulled ahead in the next inning. Hill started the fifth with a double and Overbay drew a walk. Lackey struck out Encarnacion and both runners moved up on a wild pitch before Molina lined out sharply to third. Lewis checked his swing and cued a double down the left-field line past a diving Adrian Beltre, giving the Blue Jays a 7-5 lead.
The Red Sox threatened in the top of the sixth, placing runners at second and third with two out, but Toronto reliever Jason Frasor got his team out of trouble with a groundout from Beltre.
Lind then homered to left off Dustin Richardson in the bottom of the inning to increase the advantage to three runs.
Game Notes
Boston center fielder Mike Cameron and Red Sox manager Terry Francona were ejected in the top of the seventh for arguing balls and strikes...The six walks issued by Lackey were a season-high...Toronto pitchers hit four batters...The Red Sox finished 4-for-15 with runners in scoring position and left 12 men on base.

MySportsbook.com refunds all bets on Oakland, Green Bay and Tampa Bay from NFL week one.
(September 14) – Week one of NFL action saw three teams go scoreless for the first time since 1977. Another four were unable to get a touchdown and almost half of the underdogs covered the spread. Those three teams saved bettors at MySportsbook.com from losing out completely, thanks to the company’s unique NFL Shutout Rule -- which ensures that if the team you backed goes scoreless, your wager is refunded.
Sportsbook refunded tens of thousands of dollars to customers who bet on Oakland, Green Bay and Tampa Bay, the three teams that stunk up the field so badly that their fans and backers never had a chance to get up from their couches and cheer. In the spirit of the low scoring start to the season, odds makers at the world’s largest online sportsbook and casino have set odds on how many total shutouts there will be this season.
MySportsbook.com has posted updated sports betting lines for week two of the season. Ben Roethlisberger’s health status is still questionable, so Willie Parker will try to lead Pittsburgh again as they travel to Jacksonville as a one point favorite. After beating up on his little brother last week, Peyton Manning will look to lead the Colts to victory against Houston. Indianapolis is a whopping 13.5 favorite in the match-up.
Seattle, last year’s highest scoring team, showed the power of their defense with their gritty 9-6 win in Motown over the ravenous Lions. They take their act back home to the comforts of Qwest Field where they will face the resurgent Arizona Cardinals. The Seahawks are favored by a touchdown.

Matt Kenseth And Kevin Harvick Favorites To Take NASCAR Nextel Cup Championship
(September 15)—The NASCAR season has hit the homestretch with the opening event on this year’s Chase for the Cup taking place this weekend at the Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire International Speedway. With 10 races remaining to determine the Cup Series champion, leading online sportsbook MySportsbook.com today announced odds on all 10 Chase qualifying drivers capturing the NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship.
One of the largest sportsbook sites on the Internet, MySportsbook.com currently lists the top two drivers in the point standings as the early favorites to win the Nextel Cup. Entering the Chase for the Cup with a slim five-point lead in the point standings, 2003 NASCAR champ Matt Kenseth has been made a slight favorite to win his second Cup at 7/2 betting odds. 2001 Cup Rookie of the Year Kevin Harvick has betting odds listed at 5/2 and four-time NASCAR champion Jeff Gordon is listed at 6/1 to capture the Nextel Cup this year.
Hoping to follow in the footsteps of his legendary father who won six NASCAR titles, Dale Earnhardt Jr. stands at 8/1 to breakthrough with his first Cup victory. Staying with the family theme, MySportsbook.com lists 2005 Rookie of the Year Kyle Busch at 14/1 to succeed big brother Kurt’s 2004 NASCAR title. While Kasey Kahne was the final driver to qualify for the Chase with a third place finish last week, the oddsmakers give him a fighting chance at 10/1 mainly due to several mile-and-a-half tracks remaining on the schedule. Despite going winless on the NASCAR circuit this season, Jeff Burton enters the Chase at 5/1 to capture the Cup title. Meanwhile, rookie Denny Hamlin is 4/1 to win the championship, while veteran driver Mark Martin enters the Chase for the Cup as a 15/1 long shot to win his first NASCAR title in his 24th and final season.
MySportsbook.com will offer comprehensive Nascar betting lines on every race remaining on the Nextel Cup series including driver match-ups, props and odds to win each race. For a complete list of NASCAR odds, please visit www.MySportsbook.com.
